Happy New Year to Everyone!

Happy New Year to Everyone

Have you made yourself accountable for your dreams?

It just occurred to me today, how the New Year is so full of promise for each one of us. We are hopefully a little wiser than this time last year and maybe we know enough now to make sure we achieve those plans we had for last year that didn't quite work out?

There are many who will be making New Year’s resolutions on January 1st, but how many will like last year hit a hurdle, turn back and fail again; then like last year and the year before laugh away their disappointment at themselves.

People who want to achieve their goals are either:

1). very strong willed or:

2). they make themselves accountable for their actions. You can do this by telling your friends about your plans, they will support you while ever you are on target, but should you fail they may join in the laughter, saying it's alright I'm still your friend. I never thought you'd do it anyway!
There is a third and more reliable way to achieve your goals, to make your New Years resolution's a reality. That is by:

3). Making yourself accountable to a Life Coach. The Life Coach becomes the personification of your desire and intention to achieve whatever it is you want to achieve. They believe totally that you can achieve your goal and when you feel like giving up they are there for you to bring you gently back on track. A Life Coach has many tools that can help you!

So what's it to be this year, are you going to laugh away your disappointment of another New Year’s resolution down the pan, or are you going to take up the challenge of employing a Life Coach to turn your life around and make 2008 your best year ever?

I hope that I’ve given you food for thought and if you’d like to speak to me all you have to do is either email me at Andrew@gistli.co.uk or call me now on 0800 085 8056 if you’re in the UK or Internationally on +44 114 251 4951 and we can arrange the best time and date for you to experience your own free Life Coaching session.

Resolve To Make 2009 Great

Have you decided how to make your 2009 great for you?

Surveys show that 53% of people set themselves up to abandon their New Year Resolutions within weeks. Perhaps the reason why most people do not stick to New Year resolutions is that they forget their resolutions should be for life, not just for New Years Day or for a few weeks.

Whether it's losing weight or getting fit, making more money, changing careers or creating better relationships - the best intentions soon slip to the same old self defeating habits. What's the reason for this?

It's because people really need to be making a "whole year" resolution. One of the main challenges is people suffer from limiting beliefs such as "It's too hard" or "I have to struggle to make money" or "No matter what I do I can't lose weight".

Whilst coaching I often hear people say they want to lose weight, then when I ask them what their priorities or values are in life, they will say "finances" or "career". If you want to lose weight then health needs to be your number 1 focus. If it's a higher income you are seeking, then career and finance needs to be your top priority.

Knowing what your goals are and the reasons why you want to succeed are the foundations for following through on your resolutions.

Resolution tips for you

1) Set only one major goal or resolution. The chances of success are greater when you channel your energy and focus into one goal.

2) Plan ahead. Take time to reflect upon what you will focus on first. Once you achieve that goal you can then set another goal.

3) Choose new resolutions. If you set the same resolutions each year and nothing changes, perhaps change the resolution or goal so it is more achievable to inspire you to continue. You could set a different resolution that you are confident you can achieve – to build a track record of success.

4) Be specific. Plan exactly what you are going to do and by when. Ensure your goals are clear, concise, using positive language and written in the present tense, e.g. "It is now (future date including year) and I have/I am (end step) …."

5) Give yourself reasons why you can succeed. Ask yourself, "why do I want this goal" and "what will achieving that goal do for me or give me?"

6) Ask for help. Enlist the support of a life coach, fitness coach, business coach or mentor - to first set your goals, then make changes to your thinking and habits to ensure you follow through.

7) Take action. Break your goals down to small steps every day. Sometimes a goal can seem overwhelming, if you chunk it down into smaller steps it becomes even easier to achieve.

8) Remember to celebrate your wins. Reward yourself at each milestone to reinforce your new, successful behaviors.

Taking up my offer of a complimentary life coaching session is a great way to start to learn the skills for changing your behaviour at the subconscious level and to build momentum towards the achievement of your goals. If you haven't set your goals for the year yet, then this free session will walk you through the process from the very start.

Right now, as you read these words, do you know your ideal future is within your reach? That's right, your ideal future is just waiting for you to come and claim it. And, all you have to do is say "yes"!

Say "yes" and begin a journey that will unlock your inner wisdom and strength. Say "yes" and to my complimentary life coaching session and I will start to share with you the secrets of how you can align the enormous resources of your unconscious mind with your conscious desires, so that you will be able to actualize your full potential and create the life of your dreams.

Watch the sparks begin to fly as you gain massive propulsion toward your highest goals and boldest dreams in just one complimentary session.

Hope to speak to you soon.

Peace and love to everyone this Christmas!

So here it is Merry Christmas, (I hope) everyone is having fun. Look to the future, it's only just begun!

My thoughts at Christmas are for peace on earth! I remember being told by my father that there is no historical record of any conflicts at the time of the birth of Jesus Christ, the one who is also known as "The Prince of Peace."

In the Christmas story we are told that the angels sang "Peace on Earth, goodwill to men" when they announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds! It's a time for giving, a time for receiving, a time for forgiving and a time for forgetting. Christmas is love, Christmas is peace, a time for hating and fighting to cease!

Like John Lennon said "War is over, if you want it! War is over now!"

Peace and love to everyone this Christmas!

Time Ladies and Gentlemen, Please!

Time ladies and gentlemen please!

Do you want to stop procrastinating?

I thought it would be a good thing to call time on mundanity, excuses, blaming others, justifying our actions or lack of them and finally commit ourselves to achieving our dreams. So I wrote an inspirational poem, please let me know what you think of it.

time to reach much deeper
than you've ever reached before
time to make the breakthrough
the wall is just a door

don't think too much about them
the things that hold you back
overcome your fears, face the future
rejection is a pat on the back

it's only when our self belief
grows stronger by the day
that we no longer care for
the things that people say

you know it all makes sense
to give your all, your best
so why do you keep refusing
to face this final test

time to be willing and hopeful
for all you dream could be yours
the only way is upward
you are your worthy cause

Many of our problems lie in being unable or unwilling to see that we are doing some of the negative and dis-empowering things I spoke of before I read my poem. We all create our own reality, so if you don't like your world as it is, I know from personal experience, that having a life coach will help you to be able to "see the wood for the trees." I believe that if I was your life coach that together we could create the reality that you have desired for so long!

"All things are possible, for those who believe!" Mark 9:23

I'm a believer, a believer that you can have just what you want in your life; so would you like to work with me? My first session is offered on a purely complimentary basis, so if you're interested please let me have your phone number by personal message or by e-mailing me at "themusicianslifecoach@hotmail.co.uk" and we could talk about the possibilities that life coaching can open up for you.

Happy New Year 2009?

Happy New Year 2009?

Will 2009 be the most fruitful and happy year of your life so far? There’s a New Year coming, are you interested in pursuing your dreams in a new way not for the first few days of the New Year but for the whole 12 months?

What is it that makes some people have all the things in life they dream of, whilst others go on in quiet despondency? How come some people get so close to their dreams only to find the rug has been pulled right out from under them, just at the moment when they seemed to be finally winning?

It's down to two types of belief, beliefs that we have about ourselves at a subconscious level. It's our belief in ourselves or our self worth, and our belief in our abilities to be able to do the things we are capable of.

If you don't think your capable or worthy of the better things in life, it doesn't matter how hard you dream and work towards those better things, you won't get them. Without self worth and being convinced that you have the ability to do new things, or to do the things you do right now at a higher level of proficiency, you'll never achieve the things you'd really love to do.

If you don't think you’re worthy or capable, there's nothing I can say as your Life Coach that will convince you otherwise. This feeling of "I'm not able or not good enough to ... (fill in the blank)" can't be reasoned away, the good news is that you have a weapon that can be used against your own belief of unworthiness. I'll tell you about that in a little while.

But right now, how do you see yourself, do you lack belief in your own capabilities? I have a friend who learned to fly last year, it took him four months to get his wings, the staggering thing about this individual is that he has an extremely demanding job and a very busy social life. “How did he find the time to do it?” was my thought. So what about you, could you learn to fly an airplane?

Think about it for a while ... what's your answer?

A) No!
B) I doubt it; I'm not very good at that sort of thing.
C) I'm not sure but I'd give it a try.
D) Yes, given the time and money.
E) Where's the local flying school, I want to enroll on a beginners course!

You see it's not a belief in the abilities you already have that I'm talking about here, it's your belief that even though you've never done it before, you know that you can if you put your mind to it. This kind of belief can be achieved by having someone reason with you until you can see that you really can do it!

The life coach is a great sounding board, a catalyst, someone who is there to help you to realize you have abilities that you never even thought you had. As for the secret weapon against a lack of self worth ... it's your imagination! The life coach can help you develop your imagination, so it works for you rather than against you, so get yourself a Life Coach in 2009!

Carlo DiZio’s Testimonial about The Musicians Life Coach

How can I thank you for helping me to transform my life. Just when I thought all hope was lost of me becoming a recording artist and I found myself in a comfortable rut, you inspired me to believe that anything is possible, that it is never too late.

I have always believed in my talents as a music artist, I've just never fully believed I could make a living with it and become a top player. There were some people and events in my life that had instilled negative beliefs in me. Beliefs that I was someone not to be taken seriously.

You've helped me realize that all my negative beliefs have come from outside of me and are rubbish. Instead I now realize I am a whole person full of abundance and love, so in touch with my gift, my craft, my purpose and what I most want to contribute in my life on this earth. Thank you Andrew.

With love

Peter Brame’s Testimonial about The Musicians Life Coach

Peter Brame's Testimonial about The Musicians Life Coach

How much time do you really set aside to talk about your hopes and dreams? Even with best friends? A lot of people, like myself, would feel too embarrassed and selfish to speak for hours on end purely about themselves! Yep, even me!!

This is where Andrew has become the missing link for me. Talking every fortnight about my aspirations with Andrew has made me realise how negative and lazy I'd become with something so close to my heart.

Through our sessions I have been given new and strong foundations in which to drive for my dreams and the positivity and determination to achieve them.

Andrew truly believes that Life Coaching is his calling and in knowing Andrew since July 07 and seeing the results of his work, I truly believe him.

A Special Christmas Gift To You!

This is my third Christmas as a Life Coach, and traditionally things slow down not just for Life Coaches but for many people at this time of year. Our thoughts around the 19th December begin to turn to Christmas Day and being with family, turkey and the trimmings. Or maybe if you don't celebrate Christmas yourself, it's a time when you just let the world go by for a few days.

I used to work for many years in the construction industry as a book-keeper and accounts person. The construction industry in the UK take a full two weeks paid leave. I tried to defy the odds the first year as a Life Coach and I booked 12 appointments, all but one of them postponed on me! :)

Well now I know now that the week before Christmas, isn't a time when people talk their Life Coach. :) However, as we approach the New Year, people begin to think of what they'd like to happen, they make "New Year's Resolutions" with every intention to follow through and to stay the course till they achieve their dreams and desires, but sadly the majority don't get their wishes.

I want to help you to make sure that 2009 is the year when you don't fail with your "New Year's Resolutions." I have the tools and the strategies that can help you. So ...

HERE'S MY GIFT TO YOU, AND YOU'LL BE PLEASED TO HEAR IT COMES IN THREE PARTS AND I KNOW MY GIFT WILL CONTINUE TO BENEFIT YOU THROUGHOUT THE NEW YEAR AND BEYOND:

1). YOU CAN HAVE A FREE SUBSCRIPTION TO MY “20 TOP TIPS OF HOW TO LIVE A LIFE OF SUCCESS, PASSION, & FULFILLMENT”. These documents contain the results of my 20 years of study into the subject of personal development. From January 1st I'll be sending out the first 7 TOP TIPS for free, but then I will be asking people to pay to receive the remainder.

All you need to do to receive these "20 TOP TIPS" is send me an email to "andrew@gistli.co.uk" with "20 TOP TIPS" typed into the subject bar.

2). YOU ARE INVITED TO EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE MONTH OF JANUARY A FREE LIFE COACHING SESSION TO SHOW YOU HOW YOU COULD BENEFIT FROM HAVING A LIFE COACH AND THEREFORE SUCCEED IN ACHIEVING YOUR NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS WHILST MANY OTHERS WILL FAIL.

3). IF YOU BOOK YOUR FREE SESSION WITH ME BEFORE 31ST DECEMBER 2008, THEN I WILL RESERVE FOR YOU A 10% CHRISTMAS DISCOUNT OFF MY NORMAL PRICES, WHEN YOU DECIDE TO BECOME MY CLIENT.

There are only so many hours of coaching available in my diary for January, so the second and third parts of my gift must be on a first come, first serve basis, so book early to avoid any disappointment. I have an answering machine attached to my phone lines which is available 24 hours a day 365 days a year, I will answer my messages in the order they arrive.

I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a happy and successful New Year 2009!

"Who is in awe of you?"

That Awesome Person Called You

In conversation with one of my clients, I was told about one of his business acquaintances that he said he was "in awe of," someone who my client had a very high opinion of; so I asked the client "Who is in awe of you?"

Often we see others as somehow further down the path than we are ourselves, they've got better knowledge, better connections, better abilities and they appear in comparison to us as super-human. We aspire to be like them.

The reason for this conclusion is because of our own perception not only of the world, but of our own place within it. We think we know all there is to know about ourselves and we're just ordinary, the skills we have are common place.

My client is a very successful small business owner, who built up his business from scratch, having to learn the tools of his trade as his business developed over the years. I'm sure that many of his clients see him as the expert in his area.

There is another question that I asked my client the next time I spoke to him; it's a question I'd like to ask you too, "Are you in awe of yourself?" Psalm 139 v14 says that we are "Fearfully and wonderfully made!"

It's time to realize that you aren't insignificant; you too have knowledge, connections, talents and abilities. It's my belief we have all been sent into this life with a grand purpose, but sadly many people die with that potential unfulfilled. If you're not sure, I'd love to help you to discover your purpose or maybe just how to get back on track, to the place where you know deep inside you're supposed to be in your life.

If Music Be The Food Of Love, Play On!

If Music Be The Food Of Love, Play On!

I'm first and foremost a music fan and I wanted to show some appreciation today here in my blog if you are a musician reading this.

Music is not only the food of love, it is according to Billy Joel's "Piano Man" the distraction people need to help them get away from their troubles. To quote his lyric, do you know when you perform "... that it's you they are coming to see, to forget about life for a while?"

In these so called troubled times of economic downturn, as a musician you are able to not only distract but also lift the human spirit and make the audience feel entertained and blessed. You have indeed a high calling, I send you appreciation on behalf of all music fans everywhere!

For those about to rock ... I salute you!

I Dream For A Living!

Do you believe your dreams are achievable?

I recently came across a quotation from the film maker Steven Spielberg and I immediately identified with it; he said “I don't dream at night, I dream all day. I dream for a living." As a Life Coach (not a movie maker) my business is to take my clients dreams and help them to believe that they can; not only have those dreams (or goals as we call them) but that they can also have them within a reasonable time scale.

I often need to become the one with the certainty my clients lack that what they are aiming for is neither silly nor selfish, but both realistic and achievable! When they display a lack of determination or tenacity to follow through; my work with them must include a passionate reminder to them of their dream and all the reasons that I can muster, to convince them again that their dream worth eagerly pursuing and if needs be, fighting for.

I know people can achieve their goals, not only because I’ve personally achieved goals myself, but also because I have a growing number of past clients who have as a result of a period of Life Coaching also achieved the goals that they set for themselves.

I often quote the line from "Fawlty Towers" where Basil says in the "Communication Problems" episode: "Back to the world of dreams," if I digress from my initial subject matter within my coaching sessions. I then go on to remind my clients that Life Coaching is indeed "the world of dreams!" Do you want to be a dreamer, whose dreams come true? I believe you can be.

Norman Kelsey's Testimonial about The Musicians Life Coach

Norman Kelsey's Testimonial about The Musicians Life Coach

To all of Andrew's friends and those who browse his blog:

This man is wonderful. I highly recommend coaching sessions with him. I already felt a success, but Andrew has helped me focus on my goals, real tangible ones. The information he imparts is invaluable. It isn't going through the motions. It's feeling your worth and putting your desires out to the universe in a real way. Musicians, especially, give Andrew's coaching method a test drive at least. He understands the heart (and ego) of an artist.

What a great feeling to know I have him on my side! My wish would be for you to experience the same.

How To Get Excitement Back Into Your Life

I wonder if you ever think to yourself that the big goals that you have, even though you are taking small steps to get to them each day, seem to be too far away. Although you are enjoying the journey, there are times when you lose the excitement that you first felt when you committed yourself to having that big goal.

You'll be glad to hear, I have a solution for you! :) I think you need to adopt some short-term fun goals as well as the big goal! Then on the days that the road to your big goal has frustrated you, you can switch gear, get some excitement into your life and go after a shorter term goal.

In effect what I am suggesting is that you have two lists of goals. On the first list you would put career goals, family goals, money goals and the like and then on the second list write down lots of fun things that with your commitment to them would be relatively easy to have or experience, in next to no time at all.

Whenever we are decisive and determined enough, we can achieve and be whatever we want to. So keep going for your big goals, take actions everyday that will get you closer to them; but don't forget to also have short term fun goals which will add excitement to your life, when the journey to the big goals appears to be taking too long!

Your desire creates the energy you need to accomplish anything!

"The starting point of all achievement is desire!" so says Napoleon Hill, author of the book "Think and Grow Rich." With desire comes the excitement and the energy to bring about the successes we seek. If we will become single minded, persistent and take on a positive mental attitude, our plans will never be thwarted!

Desire itself helps us to form a clear picture in our minds eye of the outcome we want to have. We won't become discouraged if we keep our focus on the wonderful feelings we expect to have when we get where we're wanting to go.

If you can imagine yourself experiencing life at a particular level even if you haven't lived life like that before, then I promise you that such a life is possible for you. The mere existence of desire in your heart and mind is the proof that you can be and do whatever your desire dictates!

So what is your deepest desire, what is it that you really want to do? What do you sometime get a healthy obsession about? I can tell you from my own experience that whilst desiring for over a decade to become a Life Coach, without taking any action to make it happen I was frustrated and unhappy. But as soon as I took the decision to make the effort and to begin to move in the direction of my desire, excitement and joy took hold of me.

The road hasn't always been easy, there's always going to be bumps along the way but by following my desires I am becoming the person that I was always intended to be and that can be your experience too. The best equipped person to help you to turn your desires into your reality is a Life Coach, and I am here and now offering you a free Life Coaching session. Email me or call me now to arrange it!

Which direction? Any direction? No direction?

I've heard people dismiss Self Development and Life Coaching with one statement, they say "I'm not goal orientated!" I always leave these conversations with respect for the individual’s right to chose how to live their lives, but also extremely sad.

You see if you are someone without a goal, then in my book you're someone without direction! If you're someone without direction for your life, my guess is that you're going nowhere! It seems so apparent to me that the reason why so many people are depressed is because they lack both focus and direction.

I also meet people who initially seem to be on my wavelength, they talk about all the things that they want to accomplish in their lives and they seem to have so many goals. On the face of it, they appear to have direction, but I leave those conversations feeling sad as well.

It is impossible to go in lots of different directions at the same time, so these people end up going nowhere too! What I'm saying is that yes, we need direction for our lives, but maybe like an airplane we need to pick one airport at a time to fly to or else we'll be just "up in the air" till we run out of fuel.

Personal Development and Life Coaching offer people the tools that will aid them on their journey to become the people they want to be, living the lives they truly desire.
You can experience a Life Coaching session with me for free by calling 0800 085 8056 that’s if you’re in the UK and if you’re living outside the UK then it’s +44 114 251 4951 or sending an email to "themusicianslifecoach@hotmail.co.uk"

Clearly define your goals!

As The Musicians Life Coach I am of the opinion that everyone singing or writing and performing songs has a goal to achieve recognition by the use of their talents. However as a human being, I know that I have often seen myself to be proved wrong in my sincerely held assumptions. :)

Within the work I do, making sure that people have specific, measurable and written goals is for me the starting point for my client’s journey. It is so commonplace in my thinking, that I believe everyone must know the importance of writing down their goals and dreams. Why? Because the very act of writing them down, makes them tangible and real!

This morning I received an email in reply to a challenge I made to the writer, to "define your goals!" This person’s response was: "The biggest change I have made is to actually write down my goals in minute detail, even doing that is so focusing and empowering!"

I know from my own experience and from the experiences that my clients have shared with me; that speaking out what we would like to happen, is the beginning of the change that brings about our goals and desires!

If you write down your goal and then carry it with you and read it often; you will start to imagine your life as it will be when the goal is completed. When your intended outcome is constantly in your mind, it will keep you focussed and help you to believe that your dream will become your reality.

Albert Einstein said: "Imagination is more important than knowledge; it is the preview of life's coming attraction!" Use your imagination today to create the life you've always intended to have.

So you want to earn your living from your music?

Have you got a talent for singing, maybe you're a songwriter too? Have you taken your music to an audience or even on the road or done a tour? Are you looking for the breakthrough to the big time and yet it never comes? I believe that I am the person who can help you to realize your dreams!

My name is Andrew Smith, I am "The Musicians Life Coach." I help musicians, mainly singer/songwriters, to develop the kind of thinking, tenacity and determination to never give up on achieving their goals and dreams. It is my experience and the experience of my clients that by taking control over our thoughts, we become the masters of our own destiny.

Marco Schnabl's Testimonial about The Musicians Life Coach

Marco Schnabl's Testimonial about The Musicians Life Coach

Dear Andrew,

I have to say that you've massively contributed to a big change in my life. The way you talk, listen and strongly believe in certain values has had a big impact on me.

Your advice and your passion are second to none. It's almost like you've allowed me to start a new life. Of course, the techniques are important, but your humanity is the key here. Use it, by just being yourself and you're on a winner!!!

I have found the process incredibly interesting and uplifting. Mostly I think that your spiritual/rational approach works incredibly well.

The spiritual side, in particular, is so different from other approaches I've tried in the past: there's nothing esoteric about it, it just makes sense and maybe I'm lucky I've studied philosophy and the Eastern cultures in the past, that helps, but your approach is right for me nevertheless.

Having said that I also have to add that you are a great communicator...more than that I think you've got a great heart. So thanks a lot for that!!!

Shannon Matthews is alive and well!

Yesterday I was listening to the news when I heard that the mother of Shannon Matthews had been found guilty of kidnap and perverting the course of justice. For those of you who live outside the UK, you may not have heard of this story. Shannon aged 9, went missing on February 19th, 2008 on her way home from school. What followed was a 24 day search for Shannon by neighbors and friends who printed posters asking people if they'd seen the girl. The police spent £3million on payroll and other resources to find Shannon.

At the time I followed the story with interest, because 25 years ago I had lived on Moorside Road, in Dewsbury where Shannon lived with her family. When it became public knowledge that Shannon had been "kidnapped" by her mother's ex-boyfriends uncle, I became angry at the waste of police time and the way the neighbors, who so willing helped in the search for the missing girl had been duped by her Mum.

Karen Matthews was found guilty alongside Mick Donovan who had Shannon drugged and tethered by a noose for 24 days in a plot devised by her mother to claim a £50,000 reward. Karen who has 7 children by 5 different men was told to expect a long prison sentence when the judge announces his recommendations for her detainment on Monday.

However, my anger subsided when I heard the policeman who rescued her, speak of his joy in finding her! :) He said that usually when a child is missing for more than three weeks it is thought highly unlikely that they will ever be seen alive again. He said how incredibly delighted he was to be carrying her out of Donovan's flat and thinking to himself "You're safe now!" As he said this a tear trickled down my face.

My anger was in a moment turned to great joy! I was moved by the amazing feeling that both the police and the neighbors must have felt when they knew Shannon was alive and well. The police because they'd found her, which to them had seemed less likely with each passing day of their investigation and the neighbors who tore down all the home printed posters and took them with the leaflets they had been handing out to have a celebration bonfire! :)

Why am I telling you all this? It is because I wanted you to realize that it is what we focus on that frames the picture for us. If we see in the above story the cruel deception of police and neighbors, by a mother who didn't even ask how her daughter who had been "missing" for 24 days was, then we feel anger. But if we see the joy of a little girl who had been wickedly imprisoned by her mother and "uncle" who had been rescued, we can feel great joy! :)

What do you focus on in your life? The events and experiences that bring you down or the ones that lift you up. You can feel joyful each day if you chose to focus on the things that thrill and please you! A life coach can help you to focus on the uplifting events of your life, why not call me now and we can start to do that today? Life has no meaning, except the meaning you give it!

Many years ago when I first started listening to Personal Development tapes something one of the speakers said really challenged my preconceived ideas. He said "Life has no meaning, except for the meaning you give it!"

At first I thought of this statement as a very negative one. Of course life has a meaning I said, even though I knew not everyone knew what it was. I had been taught many Christian beliefs from an early age and these beliefs were the ones I thought everyone should adopt to give meaning and purpose to their lives.

But then I thought about the statement for a long time afterwards, it really troubled me; that maybe the speaker was right and my preconceived ideas were wrong. The more I puzzled the statement through, the more I realized that the belief system I had been taught was the meaning I had given to my life, which proved both my own set of beliefs and the speaker correct at the same time.

As a Life Coach, I am aware that each person has their own unique belief system and it is not my intention to have them adopt mine. However part of the journey of discovery that I engage with my clients in, is to find out if their belief system is helping or hindering them from getting to where they want to be in their lives.

I really didn't like the idea of having different beliefs to the ones I'd been taught, beliefs that had worked for millions of others down the centuries. I didn't want to give up the security and the continuity I felt with my parents and grandparents and yet I understood the principle that if these beliefs were holding me back in my life maybe I needed to synthesize my old beliefs with some new ones that would help to propel me further than I'd been able to get before in my life.

Einstein said "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." Maybe a Life Coach is just what you need to help you find a new perspective in your thinking to help you move on in your life? Why not call me now on 0800 085 8056 or e-mail me at "themusicianslifecoach@hotmail.co.uk" and let your own journey of discovery begin?
